Mixed Conditional — Condicional Mixto

We talk about something that DID NOT happen and its imaginary consequences.
If I had woken up earlier, I wouldn't have been late. (But I did NOT wake up.)
If he had saved money, he would have bought a car. (But he did NOT save.)

We combine condition in the past with result in the present (or vice versa):

Past → Present	If + past perfect	would + base	If I had studied medicine, I would be a doctor now.
Past → Present	If + past perfect	would + base	If you had listened, you would know the answer.

💡 The "Third conditional" is a type of mixed conditional. Mixed ranges from First (combinations) to Third.
