Months of the Year

January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December

Telling the Time

  • It's 3 o'clock. — It's 3 o'clock.
  • It's 3:15. — It's quarter past three. (and fourth)
  • It's 3:30. — It's half past three. (and a half)
  • It's 3:45. — It's quarter to four. (minus quarter)
  • 5:10 — ten past five / five ten
  • 6:45 — quarter to seven / six forty-five
  • 9:20 — twenty past nine / nine twenty
  • 11:55 — five to twelve / eleven fifty-five

💡 Tip: Days and months are always written with capital letters in English.
